Cappuccino (2019)

Mike waits nervously, it's almost time for his big moment. Can he battle his inner demons in front of an expectant crowd? Using visual metaphors to heighten a sense of terror and intimidation,  Cappuccino delves deep into the psyche of a stammerer. 

"Cappuccino" is an Art Council England funded short film, made in partnership with the "Random Acts" scheme and produced by Rural Media. Cappuccino premiered at Borderlines Film Festival 2018, and is now streamable through Channel 4's Random Acts website.

Ross Samuel

Lead - Mike

Ross Samuel is a professional actor who trained at Arts Educational Schools London, graduating in the summer of 2016. He is a versatile performer with experience across theatre and film, often taking on a wide variety of roles.

His key credits include being cast in the world premiere immersive arena show Dinosaurs In The Wild.

 

He also played the lead role in the Channel 4 Random Act Short Film, Cappuccino, which earned him a Best Actor nomination at the 2019 Midlands Movie Awards. Samuel enjoys multi-roling and collaborating as part of an ensemble.

Francis Quigley

Francis Quigley is a dynamic, multi-hyphenate professional in the film and television industry, recognized for his dual expertise as an actor and his significant technical experience behind the camera.

A graduate of drama school, he possesses a strong foundation in storytelling and the emotional demands of performance. Complementing his acting career, he trained at the NFTS (National Film and Television School) as an Assistant Director. This unique background, which includes credits like 1stAD on Between Me & You and directorial work on a Channel 4-commissioned short, makes him highly effective in bridging the creative and logistical demands of any production.
